Daily Post “Mentor Me”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Mentor Me.”

I remember in 8th grade, I had the best teachers that I feel have ever existed. My algebra and language arts teachers taught me more than I have ever learned in one year. Not only educationally, but wisdom and food for thought. ”  Not only teaching us the rules of the world based on education, I learned sometimes you have to ”eat crow” if your not completely correct. There is no ‘I’ in a team, and with time comes knowledge, patience, awareness and experience. Never give up and intimidation is the key to overcoming .. I have had several mentors but these 2 teachers in 8th grade at BCMS.. The teachers who werent afraid to tell us the real game of life, trials, failures, difficulty, prosperity, victory, and succeeding, is the ones who I will never forget made sure I was ready to go to that next stage of life..

I have confidence in me…

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I Have Confidence in Me.”

Yes. I do believe  I am good at what I do. I am a nurse.. no not one of them RN’s yet.. but yet and still, a nurse. One who loves seeing her patients come in the office, sick or not, because if they are not there for a check up, she will still make sure they leave at least with a smile. I love seeing them smile, hearing that small sense of faith that they still have even though the cancer is not operatheble.. I love knowing I am helping someone, because I love knowing that I am worth and capable of something in this world. But most of all, I go to sleep knowing that I love and cant wait to go back to my job.

One day ……

People never cease to amaze me…. I learn a little bit more everyday..
The good the bad and the ugly.. That’s when I learn you just breath, close your eyes, handle it in your own way, then move on.. Completely ignoring what just happened or else you will dwell on it forever.. It affects you somehow or another. Now or in the future.

Forgeting is never easy and shouldnt be the effect but in this da

y and time, there’s not much you want to remember.. just saying… On that note, talk your talk..walk your walk… but i listen.. i observe.. and i act… all based on what I learn… You might think your getting away with it now but there will come a time that you till be in my shoes… And it’s at that time you will realize… You have Feelings…Yea them things you cant control…Man or woman enough as you are… It will all come down.. And hopefully you won’t be all alone becuase everyone is tired of your ‘ways’. But it’s then that you will realize the pain and effects of your ways… And that is the reassurance I need to tell myself… KARMA…

Silence… response to the Daily Prompt

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “A Source of Anxiety.”

Silence..

The still of everything around you. The calmness which I am not accustomed to. The sign that something important is about to be said because your boss always delays a silent pause before the big speech. The silence while you wait for that big answer to that life changing question. The silence as you sit in your room… Though tranquil and calm, the silence marks the start of over thinking.

Silence as you wait for that answer that determines if the surgery went well. Silence that is dreaded while going over the last will. Silence that is lingering and will never go away..

It is this silence that can make me and always will be a source of anxiousness

Daily Post I Want to KNow

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

Love can appear in my shapes and sizes. Love to me is not necessarily just an emotion. Love can be shown through things. I also believe that love has a basis definition. Unconditional care, 100% reliable, and true happiness. Whether you love the dog, the clouds, your partner, etc. love is always shown in the basis of attention and unselfish appreciation and not thinking twice if it was your life or there’s. Now that’s’ true love.

My book

This book well be complete..when.i dont know.. i know it will be about love. Hate, fear, trials, life decisions friends family and of course drama.. that’s what people like …. but its still your book.and.your the authour..you will only know once you read.and then you’ll be mine.. fall into the grasps of my reality..once my book is done

How to Share Your Work with a Targeted Audience

The Daily Post

We’ve touched on similar topics in the past, from creating boundaries between your blog persona and real-life one, to keeping your daily life safe from online intrusions.

The great thing about having your own site is that with one click of the Publish button, you can reach the entire world. Or at least that subset of the world with an internet connection, a bit of free time, and a keen interest in knitting / vegan brownies / attachment parenting / haiku writing / [insert your favorite topic(s) here].

What do you do, though, when you want to keep that public stage open — but also share some of your work in a more discreet way? Sometimes you might feel like writing a more personal post than you do usually. Or you might want to get feedback on a work in progress you’re not entirely happy about yet. There are all…

Five Posts to Write Right Now

The Daily Post

I recently hit a milestone age that invites gifts of black balloons and gravestone-shaped birthday candles. As I get older, I tend to spend more time wearing a path down memory lane. While it’s easy to get mired in the past, I try to use memories in a constructive way…to inform and inspire my writing today.

Today’s Five Posts to Write Right Now are all nostalgia-based.

1. The place where you felt happiest or safest.

As a teenager, I loved riding in my friend Jack’s Toyota Corolla station wagon. We’d belt out songs from the Evita soundtrack on our way to a New Hampshire, summer-stock production of Man of La Mancha. Would you believe I wasn’t popular in high school? I remember the front seat of that car, with its cassette deck and broken glove box, in vivid detail.

If you had a time machine and could go back to any…
